I've been absent from the blog, but not absent from the farm. Every spare moment I have has been spent digging, seeding, weeding and mulching.
I am currently on an airplane going to my son's college graduation in Michigan. The whole weekend seems like a good time to get caught up on my blog. I'm sure I won't be the only mother in the commencement crowd with a blogspot, but I will bet cash that I'm the only mother actively posting during the ceremony. You may call it rude...I call it efficient time management.
I've been taking pictures all along this journey, but just haven't had a moment to post anything.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, I'm about to fill a library with posts this weekend:
This was the end of the straw bale conditioning. I'm a skeptic by nature, but I never back away from a challenge. I was and continue to be so intrigued by the whole concept of gardening in a straw bale!! After this last application, the bales sit until the weather warms up enough to plant in them.
I'm being patient. I know nagging never works on me, so I suspect it doesn't work on Mother Nature either.
