The realization of that either pushes one to:
1. Not care---buy the cheapest stuff
giving not a thought to quality of the
meat or the animal's quality of life.
2. Become a vegetarian
3. Become ultra-involved in making
sure you know the quality of feed
and care going into the living animal.
Within my small family of 18 we have some who fall into each category...
1. Those in category 1, buy their own
food and adhere to a strict budget.
Eating healthy is markedly more
expensive.
2. Those in category 2 are not invited
to ride along to take the animals to
the butcher.
3. Those in category 3 are my
favorite.
